How to build an app with Replit AI (no coding) — a beginner’s walkthrough

You don’t need to know how to code to build a working app on Replit. You describe what you want, the AI Agent builds it, and you refine it until it’s live. Here’s the whole process, start to finish — with my full video walkthrough.

Step by step

1. Sign up and unlock the Agent. Create a Replit account and subscribe to Core to get the AI Agent. Apply a discount code at checkout to save on your first payment (current code below).
2. Describe your app in plain English. Tell the Agent what you want — “build me a habit tracker with a daily checklist and streaks,” for example. Be specific about what it should do.
3. Let the Agent build it. It writes and runs the code for you. You’ll see the app take shape in the preview pane without touching a config file.
4. Test and refine. Try it, then give the Agent follow-up prompts — “add login,” “fix this button,” “change the colours.” This back-and-forth is where most of the work happens.
5. Deploy it. When it works, publish it so it’s live at a real URL you can share. That’s your app, shipped.

A few beginner tips

Start small — build one simple, complete app before a big ambitious one; you’ll learn the Agent’s rhythm faster. Prompt in plain outcomes, not code (“users can save a note” beats technical jargon).
